Time of Our Lives

Hey They feels like we've having
The time of our lives
Let's light the fire, find the pain
Let's come together as one inside
'Cause it feels like we've having
The time of our lives
We'll find the glory
All that we are, for all that we are
For the time of our lives

From "The Time of Our Lives" by Il Divo, the official song of the 2006 FIFA World Cup.

Ever since India lost that Cricket World Cup final match against Australia in 2003, I had been on the lookout for a new sport to follow. A new team to cheer for; because, frankly I felt my cricket team was not worth my support. Losing a game is ok, but going down without fighting doesnt go down well with me. It wasn't long before I decided on football. Really, after watching Brazil play, you simply fall in love with the game.

So here I am - a convert from Cricket to Soccer ( they are religions in their own right ). And the team I am rooting for ? Brazil ( No prizes for guessing that one :-) ) And Holland, and Czechs, and Argentina ...... Frankly, it doesn't matter to me who wins the cup. All I care is I get to see some great football. Thats one of the few good things if your country is not in the competition. You are relatively more unbiased, so you appreciate good play from both the sides. And regardless of who wins a game, you can always say 'the best side won' or something to that effect. And the best thing is, no matter how well the Australians play, they can never beat us!!

Just to let you know, you're under intense critical scrutiny. I expect to see a lot more post like your reservation takes.
